![]() Art lovers from all over Germany and neighbouring countries really appreciate the Kunsthalle in Emden. Founded by the “Stern” founder Henri Nannen, it enables visitors to experience an invigorating encounter with art and painting. The museum focuses on Expressionism and New Objectivity. The collection received a major boost when the gallery owner Otto van de Loo made a generous donation of works to the museum. The Kunsthalle was enlarged and gained a number of new pieces dating from post 1945. Visitors can look forward to seeing works by famous artists such as Nolde, Marc and Macke, but also contemporary works of the "Neuen Wilden" or works from the Russian Glasnost period. The Kunsthalle Emden is also famous for its painting school for creative people of all ages.
